I discovered the Eisenhower matrix this spring when I started freelancing AND started a consulting business at the same time. It really helped me prioritize my day and divide my focus between jobs that pay immediately and jobs that will pay eventually. It's very effective at quieting the anxiety about how you "should" be spending your time. Once I put things on the back burner, suddenly I actually had the time to do all I wanted and needed to do.
