I learned this back in December. I took a month off my full-time writing gig and had so much mental space to regroup and reframe my consulting work - identifying growth areas, setting targets etc. I started my consulting business the same time I started freelance news writing and felt like I was just treading water for months. Now I'm back balancing both again and have the clarity I need to set boundaries on both to keep moving forward in the right direction. I've already made back the money I lost that month. Totally worth it and I plan on doing it again six months from now.
