You just described my entire wfh experience last year. It's so hard for workers to feel engaged and I think leaders are terribly unprepared for how to engage teams from a distance. I also never found the courage to quit, but that decision was made for me. I have a new set of paralyzing fears in launching my new business. I think my work life will always have a certain level of fear of f*cking up. It's just a matter of deciding which fear I'm willing to live with.
